Man is arrested after elderly woman seriously injured in collision in Kilmersdon

Avon and Somerset Police have made an appeal for witnesses after a serious collision in Kilmersdon, in which a pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries.

The victim, an elderly woman, was injured when she was struck by a car near to the church of St Peter and St Paul in Kilmersdon, at about 12.30pm today (Sunday October 20). She remains in hospital undergoing treatment.

A 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and the police's enquiries are ongoing.

If anyone saw this collision, or have any information which could help the police, they are asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219242914.
