A complaint from a shopper in Midsomer Norton that customers are not safe in the local Lidl store has been sent on to the team who run it.

The customer is one of several seen by Nub News on social media saying that the store is simply not operating safely.

They wrote: " Nobody monitoring whose coming in and out and zero social distancing going on inside...felt totally unsafe in there."

This was not the only comment from customers and in response several said that they are no longer visiting the High Street supermarket.

On social media Lidl responded: " The health & safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority and we must encourage our staff and customers to implement government advice on distancing themselves from others in our stores.

We will pass your comments on to our Regional Team to be resolved. "
