In planning news in and around Norton Radstock this week :

Planners have today (November 25) given the go-head for 150 Ash trees to be felled over at The Old Colliery Batch in Camerton as they are suffering from the chronic fungal infection ash dieback. Those who maintain the area have already put forward plans for a replanting scheme to maintain the area. The site was bought in the 1980s by Camerton Parish Council from the National Coal Board for a peppercorn fee to preserve the mining industrial heritage of the village. In other planning news:

Under application reference: 20/04437/FUL the owners of 69 North Road, in Midsomer Norton have applied to put in a loft conversion and build a single storey rear extension.

In Clutton, at Alveston, in Maynard Terrace, BS39 5PL, they have put in an application to build a single storey front, rear and side extension and to increase the width of access to the property. That is under planning portal Reference: PP-09276071

Under Reference: 20/04400/FUL Keynsham Paper Mill, on Avon Mill Lane, in Keynsham has applied to build a biomass boiler pallet burner and flue.

In Paulton (under reference : 20/04407/FUL) the Old Vicarage, on Church Street has put in an application to build a single storey annex on the footprint of an existing garage they want to demolish.

An application has been put ( Reference: 20/04368/FUL) for the owners of 24 Church Road, in Peasedown St. John to do a loft conversion, and build a single storey rear extension and front porch.

While Wiltshire Council planners have asked Bath planners to consult on the proposed redevelopment of existing falconry aviary on land adjacent to 12 Farleigh Rise in Monkton Farleigh. Under reference 20/04395/CONSLT the owners want to build two homes.

While over at the Bath Royal United hospital the Radiology Department has applied to build a single storey extension (under PP-09204227) to provide additional CT scanning facilities.

Planning decisions made this week by B&NES include:

Planners have no objection to felling a Leyland Cypress at 31 High Street, in Midsomer Norton.

The application for a front extension at 9 Old Pit Terrace, in Clandown, has been given the green light.

A planning condition regarding the development of Acl House, in Coombend, Radstock, which is to build seven houses with gardens and parking on the site, has been discharged. Details at the planning portal Reference: PP-09266959.
