The police are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at Norton St Philip First School.

A large log was used to smash the school's main entrance at around 5.10am today (Thursday, 12 December). The school has confirmed that it was broken into, but is not making any comment on what has been stolen.

The school's alarm was activated but the offender had left the scene by the time staff arrived.

It's believed the offender arrived at the school in a vehicle.

Police are keen to hear form anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anything suspicious in the Church Street area of Norton St Philip around the time.

If you can help, please call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5219286025.
