Here at Nub News we are very proud of our print heritage, but we can't compete here with this legacy of news.

The British Newspaper Archive has just announced that it has started to put on line a new title and it is the Somerset Guardian and Radstock Observer. Founded in 1893, it appeared every Saturday priced at one penny.

On the system you can search up reports, hunt for names and look at the old pages from the newspaper.

The archivists told Nub News that they are currently uploading editions of the Somerset Guardian from 1899 to 1962.
