A fire on Friday at Station Road in Midsomer Norton is believed to have been started deliberately.

Crews from Paulton, Bath and Hicks Gate fire stations were mobilised to reports of a fire at the address which is currently derelict..

Crews used five breathing apparatus for safety, and two high pressure hose reels and two 45mm jets to extinguish the fire.

They also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

The road was closed for several hours on Friday (February 21) .

Fire officers are now investigating whether the fire was started deliberately and it is a case of arson.
