Christmas help list - where will be open around Radstock

We really hope you don't need it, but here is a guide what will be closed, and what not, over Christmas in and around Radstock.

The Westfield Pharmacy in Elm Tree in Radstock will be open from 11am until 1pm on Christmas Day.

The Shaunaks Chemist in nearby Peasedown will be open on Boxing Day from 11am until 2pm. Shaunaks will also be open on New Year's Day.

If you forgot the sprouts or the cranberry sauce, the Spar store on Church Lane Midsomer Norton, will be open for shortened hours on Christmas Day. (It is usually open 24 hours). It is promising to be open from 10am.

McColl's, on Fortescue Road in Radstock will be open from 9.30 - 3pm.

If you need to travel by bus there will be NO services from First Bus on Christmas Day, but on Boxing Day special timetables will operate on the following services:

Bristol: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 24, 43, 44, 45, 48, 49, 70, 73, 75, 76, 90, m1, T2, Y2, Y6

West of England: 39, 376, X1, X3A, X7

Airport services A1, A2, A3 - normal Sunday service.

The council offices and One Stop shops for advice and help paying bills in BANES will be closed for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and will re-open Friday 27 December at 8.30 am and will be open until 3.30pm.

All GP practices in B&NES will be closed on public holidays over Christmas and New Year. This includes Christmas Day and Boxing Day. To get help from NHS 111, you can call 111 or go to 111.nhs.uk (for patients aged 5 or over). It is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
