Coronavirus safe new children's trail at Radstock Museum, which is FREE for the holidays

By Susie Watkins 21st Jul 2021

The Radstock Museum is reminding visitors that it remains free for this month and next, although donations are always welcome.

The award-winning Somerset Coalfield Life museum in the centre of Radstock also has a new children's trail for the school holidays.

Volunteers tell Nub News: " We have devised a Covid Safe museum quiz trail that follows our one way system which will remain in place for the time being.

"Children will be given a question sheet stapled to an A4 piece of cardboard along with a short pencil (which makes up part of their prize). Find all the answers and then collect the rest of your prize before you leave. The answer sheets all go home with you and are all recyclable in your kerbside box. "

The museum is FREE for July and August but the team ask that a donation would be appreciated if you can afford it. This will go to help the museum with its running costs.

The museum will continue to have some precautionary safety measures in place over the summer which are being constantly reviewed and they do request for you to bring and wear a mask inside.

The tearoom remains closed currently but this will also be reviewed in August.
