The roadworks to re-inforce a gas main in the centre of Radstock look very near to completion today (May 22).

However the updated schedule of works at B&NES highways still puts the end date for the one way system and diversion of The Street, in Radstock as June 4.

The information was last updated today.

At the end of the schedule of works there will have been six weeks of disruption for motorists and traders. However at least the road re-surfacing heading up to Clandown has now been completed.

That, together with the work opposite the Radstock Library had caused long traffic jams last week.
