Nub News has been very pushy and snapped a photo of the ongoing work in the town hall.

We were careful not to step inside the building, but we were very impressed by the sheer scale of the work ongoing at the top of Midsomer High Street.

The argument over the costs and management of the scheme continue, but there is no doubt it is a magnificent building.

Although, sadly, and unofficially, Nub News understands that nothing like a hoard of gold or a cache of ancient coins has been found in any of the excavations.

The next full project update on work at the Town Hall will be offered by the project team at the full council meeting March 6.

But we thought you, like us, would be curious of what is clearly a big engineering project. The hall has been closed since September 12.
