If your birthday is coming up in November don't forget to apply for your free Birthday Bus Month Pass this week to fully benefit from a month's free bus travel, says Mayor Dan Norris.

Birthday Buses is your ticket to unlimited free bus and WESTlink journeys across the West of England throughout the whole month your birthday falls.

'Birthday Buses' is the brainchild of directly elected regional Mayor Dan Norris, allowing all one million-plus residents in his West of England region to travel on buses across the West's 350-plus square mile network in the month of their birthday for free.

Locals with November birthdays need to apply this week to enjoy free travel for the whole month - at least 7 days before 1 November, which is this coming Wednesday.

Though those residents with a birthday next month can still apply in November, right up to the 15th, and get a Birthday Month Bus Pass for the rest of the month.

Mayor Dan Norris said: "It's great to be able to give someone a birthday gift, but this is also a serious plan - to grow passenger numbers in Bath and NE Somerset which is key to getting more fare income to invest in better buses for all, and overcoming the climate crisis we face.

"So for those with November birthdays who haven't done so already - please get applying! You've got lots to gain and - literally - nothing to lose. Head to www.birthdaybus.co.uk today."

Places to visit in November with your Birthday Bus Month Pass:

  • Enjoying pretty Bonfire Night fireworks at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park
  • Sipping on mulled wine at Bath's Christmas Market
  • Checking out Bath on Ice in Victoria Park - back for its 11th year!
