Comedian Joe Wilkinson has been in town supporting the local parkrun.

The well-known TV panel star, who has appeared on shows including Have I Got News for You and Afterlife, where he played a postman, was out at the Five Arches parkrun Radstock near Midsomer Norton.

He is a regular parkrunner and parkrun volunteer, usually at his home runs in Brighton and in Hove.

He also ran the Brighton Marathon in 2022.

A spokesperson for the Five Arches run told Nub News : "The great thing about parkrun is that people can join events wherever they happen to be and find a great event.

"But we think it's a great opportunity to showcase that parkrun is a great local addition open to everyone!"

The 48 year old guest visitor was kind enough to use some of his Saturday morning time off from TV to take photos with some of the parkrun team and runners before joining the start line.

Organisers said: " This is what makes parkrun great - it belongs to everyone!"
