Clutton Primary School has kept its Good status from its latest Ofsted inspection, with pupils saying the school was just like a kind and friendly family.

The school, part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership, was praised for having high expectations for pupils particularly for its reading programme.

In the report published today (December 1) inspectors wrote: "There is a calm and purposeful environment in classrooms and around the school. Pupils feel safe. Relationships between staff and pupils are positive. Pupils talk about how their 'talk to' boxes enable them to share any worries or concerns they may have with a trusted adult."

The school has 149 pupils aged 4 to 11 and has both a head of school, Lucy Cowgill and under the Partnership model, Dan Turull, both of whom have been in post since September 2021.
