Congratulations to Roger and Francis Meagor on celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary.

The couple marked the milestone with a service at Frome Methodist Church followed by a reception attended by their five children, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren along with friends and other family members.

The couple met at Seale-Hayne's Agricultural College in Cornwall when they were both in their early 20s. They married in Cornwall at the Methodist Church and enjoyed many years living in Milbrook before relocating to Somerset where Roger joined the Radstock Co-operative Society team taking on the role of Farm Manager for 20 years.

When asked what the secret is to a long-lasting marriage, the couple said: "Our shared faith is enormously important to us and has helped us throughout our married life. We also say never go to bed on an argument!"

Our CEO Don Morris and Society President Graham Jeffery visited the couple to present them with an array of gifts to honour this special occasion.
