Happy New Year and welcome to the first weather warnings.

The UK Met Office has issued weather warnings for Midsomer Norton, along with a big swath of the country coming in from the West.

The first is for rainfall from 5pm tonight (January 1) lasting through to 9pm tomorrow and the second one is for strong winds starting from 8am tomorrow (January 2) until 9pm.

With the ground already saturated

What to Expect

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
