A proposed two-storey detached building to accommodate three self-contained two-bedroom flats on land at Naish's Cross, Chilcompton, by Mr Thorner, has been refused.

Planning applications submitted in the Midsomer Norton area this week include:

Works to trees in a conservation area:- T1 - Oak, fell at 4 Cabbells Mead, Church Street, Kilmersdon, have been applied for by A P Julian Idiens.

Erection of a single storey rear extension (Certificate of Lawfulness for a Proposed Development) at 23 St Paul's Place, Welton, Midsomer Norton, is wanted by Miss Alison Cox.

Discharge of condition 9 of application 19/00137/FUL (Alterations to existing farmhouse including reinstatement and conversion of attached outbuilding to form additional accommodation together with alteration of adjoining detached former milking parlour to form domestic annexe to main dwelling plus demolition of redundant adjoining silage store and lean-to store structures) at Double Hill Farm, Double Hill, Shoscombe, has been applied for by Mr David Cradock.

Garage conversion with pitched roof and associated internal works at The Old Post Office, Cooks Hill, Clutton, is wanted by Mrs Baker.

Erect a conservatory following removal of existing conservatory at 96 Specklemead, Paulton, has been applied for by Mr Pettitt.

Discharge of conditions 2, 5,12 and 13 of application 16/03808/FUL (Erection of four dwellings following demolition of existing dwelling, garage and outbuildings) at White Chimneys, Paulton Road, Hallatrow, by Heaton Homes Ltd has been approved.

Plans to fell a London plane tree at 5 The Dymboro, Midsomer Norton, by Mr David Mullins have been refused.

Internal and external refurbishment works and regularisation of historical unauthorised works at The Grange, Stanton Road, Pensford, by Mr Harry Destercroix have been approved.

Erection of side extension and continuation of rear extension to match following demolition of existing side extension at 2 Summerhayes, Salisbury Road, Paulton, by Mr and Mrs Baber has been approved.

Discharge of condition 2 for application 15/00424/ODCOU (Prior approval request for change of use of upper floor from Use Class B1 to Use Class C3 (7 units)) at Westways Garage, Bath Road, Marksbury, by David Roberts has been approved.

Discharge of condition 9 for application 16/04535/FUL (Erection of a dwelling following demolition of the outbuilding.) at 33 Parklands, High Littleton, by G Flagg has been approved.

Erection of first floor side extension at 9 Ashmead, Temple Cloud, by Mr and Mrs Anthony and Melanie Minty, has been approved.

Erection of a single storey rear extension (Resubmission) at 33 Fir Tree Avenue, Paulton, by Mr Terence Rogers has been approved.

Variation of condition 2 of application 18/03888/FUL (Loft conversion with front and rear dormer windows and rooflights) at Vijayda, New Road, High Littleton, by Mr James Rossignol has been withdrawn.
