Midsomer Norton schools re-starting dates this term

Midsomer Norton schools are preparing to re-start after the summer holidays with the following dates confirmed and all those in the partnership are starting the week after this.

Midsomer Norton Primary - the school just behind the Methodist Church, inset days Thursday and Friday this week, pupils back Monday September 6.

Norton Hill Primary ( the new school up on Silver Street) has that timetable too, as will Welton Primary, so back on Monday September 6.

Norton Hill also, which is reminding pupils that they need to be taking coronavirus home tests on Sunday evening and Wednesday evenings, also re-starts on the 6, as does Somervale, which is reporting that it is oversubscribed this year but wants to stay as a "smaller school.".

And Writhlington in Radstock, which appointed a new headteacher last term, Keith Howard, who was previously a head in Glastonbury, will be back again on September 6.

Over in Frome, the main Frome College will not be returning until September 8.
