Jacob Rees Mogg MP has announced that he will be the candidate for the new boundary area drawn up in time for the next election, and that area will NOT include Midsomer Norton. The new boundary includes areas closer to Bristol.

The new North East Somerset and Hanham constituency has chosen Jacob Rees Mogg as the candidate to fight the election - when it is called that is.

Mr Rees Mogg announced his selection on Twitter today (February 20) saying : Thank you to the North East Somerset and Hanham selection committee for adopting me as the candidate for the new seat. Naturally, I will continue to serve all my North East Somerset constituents until the election.
