In case you missed it, the pizza chain Papa John's is opening up at the top end of Midsomer Norton High Street.

Today (December 6) they were putting the finishing touches to the sign above the door at the site, which was previously a south American restaurant.

The site 55 High Street, in Midsomer Norton comprises 1,410 square feet of food area along with two flats.

Midsomer Norton Town Council had objected to the planning application, for signs for the new pizza spot, saying there was not enough information. And it was: "Not in keeping with the look of the High Street." However they were overruled by B&NES planners who pointed out that there is a Domino's pizza place just a few doors away. Papa John's told Nub News they hope to be open on December 16. When it was previously being marketed by Bath agent Derek Walker it was priced at £465,000, but on the most recent marketing the price was set at £395,000.00
