By Susie Watkins 15th Nov 2021

A special event is to be held in Peasedown St John on Saturday 27th November to mark many of the village's achievements of the last 12 months.

Organised by the Peasedown Community Trust, Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner Mark Shelford and local MP, Jacob Rees-Mogg, will be attending.

Chairman of the Trust, Gavin Heathcote, said:

"Peasedown St John has a lot to be proud of! The village has gone through a lot over the last 12-18 months, and this event will celebrate many of our community's milestones of the last year.

As well as hearing from Mark Shelford on his priorities for rural policing, we'll also be announcing the winner of the Peasedown St John Community Civic Award, and officially opening the village's new community orchard."

The event will be held at the Hive Community Centre, Bath Road, Peasedown St John on Saturday 27th November at 10am.

The morning will start with talks from PCC Mark Shelford and Trust Chairman Gavin Heathcote, followed by the opening of the Orchard around 11.30am.

Refreshments will be served.
