Planning news in and around Midsomer Norton this week :

In Midsomer Norton an application is in to prune a Holly tree at 11 Rackvernal Road. Details under 22/02641/TCA

Also in Midsomer 29 Riverside Close has put in a planning application to build two storey rear extension and single storey side extension. 22/02521/FUL

Somer Lodge, at 7 Steam Mills, in Midsomer Norton has put in an application to put in extensions and convert the loft. 22/02528/FUL

And 5 Laburnum Grove, in Midsomer Norton, has put in an application for a single storey wrap around extension. Details under 22/02593/FUL

Another step towards to work beginning on the Radco site. The store on Wells Road, Westfield, is subject to an non material amendment application 22/02549/NMA to 18/05623/OUT (Hybrid planning application for the mixed-use redevelopment of the Co-Operative store and associated car park in Radstock comprising - 1. Full planning permission for the demolition of existing store and construction of 1795sqm retail floorspace including replacement store (Class A1), 722sqm office floorspace (Class B1) and 28 dwellings (Class C3) with associated car and cycle parking, works to existing access, landscaping, public realm, drainage and infrastructure. 2. Outline planning permission for 26 dwellings with associated car parking, landscaping, drainage and infrastructure (access, scale, and landscaping determined, all other matters reserved)).

An application is in at 28 Woodborough Road, in Radstock under 22/02605/FUL to build a single storey side extension and make internal alterations following demolition of existing conservatory.

In planning decisions made in and around Midsomer Norton this week:

A decision on the old Argos site at 32 High Street, Midsomer Norton, has been delegated. The Gym Limited has put in an application in for a change of use within Class E for indoor sport, recreation or fitness and operation under existing unrestricted hours (Certificate of Lawfulness of Proposed Use). The whole building is in Class E(a) use as retail. The property has historically been used for retail following the grant of consent in 1973. The Gym is looking to expand into new locations throughout the UK and in the application the company says it has over 200 similar operations in locations across the UK

And consent has been given to tree works at Highfields, on Silver Street, in Midsomer Norton
