Over at the West Clewes recreation area the home of Welton Rovers, planners have agreed to an application for a multi use games area on the recreational area with surrounding three metre high fencing. The site is on the north side of North Road in Midsomer Norton, and planners were informed that there is currently an outdoor gym and a children's playground at the site. The multi use area would be in a part of the grounds which is currently grassed. In their decision they state : " Given the existing use of the wider site and the nature of the proposal the development will not cause harm to the character and appearance of the surrounding area." In Westfield 11 Glebelands, under 21/05329/CLPU, has applied for a lost conversion which will include Velux rooflights. Over in Peasedown Braysdown Stables Ltd, at Gassons, (under application 21/05296/FUL) has applied to convert part of grain store to form additional stables. Manor Farm House Nursing Home, on Church Street, in Radstock, has applied for discharge of two conditions on its planning application to build a link between five detached bedrooms and the care home itself. Under 21/05324/CONDLB it wants to discharge conditions 3 (Mortar Mix) and 4 (Sample Panel) of application 20/00038/LBA. The company is using a local architect firm CSH Architectural Services based on Kilmersdon Road, in Haydon for the work. Other local planning decisions made this week by B&NES include: Permitted - the creation of a permanent rural worker dwelling at Hill Farm, Phillis Hill, in Midsomer Norton. This follow the building of a temporary rural worker dwelling at that location (18/01562/FUL). Approved, at the Gasex Centre, on Frome Road, in Radstock, a non-Material Amendment to application 20/04924/FUL (Installation of three new antennas following the removal of three antennas. And the installation of six new MHA and six RRH together with ancillary development). Permitted, building of a two storey and single storey rear extension. at 3 Manor Terrace, Manor Road, in Writhlington, At 26 Wheelers Road, in Midsomer Norton, an application for a single storey rear extension has been permitted. And at 46 Waterside Road, in Westfield, an application to build a first floor side extension over the existing garage to create additional bedroom on the first floor has been permitted.
