Planning news in and around Midsomer Norton this week :

Planning decisions agreed this week include:

Discharge of some planning conditions regarding the renovation of the Town Hall, which as Nub News reported is running behind schedule.

A proposal to discharge of condition 6 of application 21/00915/LBA (Proposed refurbishment and extension of existing town hall to re-instate ground floor market hall and improve access throughout. Resubmission of proposals previously approved on applications 15/01298/FUL & 18/01638/FUL), have been discharged.

There is no objection to plans to cut back a Tamarind tree at 5 Church Square, Midsomer Norton.

Approved, plans for an extension at 10 Northmead Road, Midsomer Norton.

No objection to an application to install a new pole to support an existing overhead low voltage line to achieve minimum safety heights at Street Record, Northmead Avenue.

Approved, plans for a new flat roof at Midway, Radstock Road, Midsomer Norton.

Permitted, a replacement extension at 3 Railway View Place, Midsomer Norton.

45 Rock Road, in Welton has put in a planning application to fell a wild Cherry tree. Details under 23/01296/TCA

The householders of 4 Winterfield Park, in Paulton have put in an application for a single storey rear extension. Details under 23/01225/FUL

The homeowners of 4 Springfield Place, Clandown, have put in a planning application for prior approval request for single storey rear extension that would 1) extend beyond the rear wall of the original house by 5.00 metres, 2) have a maximum height of 4.00 metres and 3) have eaves that are 3.00 metres high. Details under 23/01258/HPD

Number 48 Daneacre Road, in Radstock, has applied to fell and treat the tree stumps, of a Cypress and a Field Maple. Details under 23/01293/TCA

Also in Radstock Hope House Medical Centre, the new one, at 10 Waterloo Road under application 23/01159/REG03 has applied to put a shipping container bike store on land adjacent to the medical centre.
