In planning news in and around Radstock this week:

In Radstock 10 Stanley Terrace want to fell their Eucalyptus Gumni, details on the planning portal, 21/05488/TCA

In Paulton Conewood Bungalow on Jubilee Terrace, wants to build a single-storey side extension and convert the loft, details under Ref. 21/05505/FUL

Planning decisions made by B&NES include:

Permitted: An application at 5 The Street, in Radstock, (The Castello Restaurant) to allow the building of external stairs and reinstatement of former flat on first and second floor as a manager flat.

Consent given to Parish's House, Hook, in Timsbury, to install a through floor lift from ground floor utility room to small rear bedroom on first floor.

Meantime on Monday (December 20) Radstock Town Council will be discussing the following local planning applications.

Under reference 21/05121/FUL – Haydon Village Hall Trust Clifford – Haydon Que Club, on Kilmersdon Road, want to create a sports pitch by levelling of ground and changing rooms. The consultation date on this has been extended. They will be discussing the application (Under reference. 21/05103/OUT) by Charlton Property Ltd to build a house on land to North West of the junction with Mill Road and Frome Road, in Radstock. This is for outline planning. And they will be looking at the ongoing development of Hope House Surgery on Waterloo Road in Radstock. Application: Discharge of conditions 20 and 25 of application 17/01466/FUL (Development of a new Healthy Living Centre to provide new health centre and ancillary pharmacy, community kitchen,

children's centre and library). Under that application it has been reported that one of the colours being used for the cladding of the building is sky green.

Also to be discussed at the council meeting, in case you missed this being reported by Radstock Nub News ( Under Ref 21/05440/FUL – Walker) an application is in to build two new three bedroomed homes at 14 Springfield Buildings, in Radstock.
