Planning news in and around Radstock this week.

The application for prior approval to put in a mobile telecommunications mast and box on the Wellow Lane roundabout, on the Peasedown St John by-pass, ( 21/03886/CONSLT) has been withdrawn. That application had been put in on behalf of CK Hutchison Networks (UK) Ltd.

Also withdrawn, an application made on behalf of the Chestnuts, on Tunley Road, in Tunley, 21/03482/CLEU, which was to use the annexe as a dual use residential and short term rental (C3).

There's been some talk that Tyning Park at the top end of Radstock, could be getting some long-overdue attention, so residents have put together a quick survey on what might be needed.

Over in Midsomer Norton at 67 Northmead Road, under reference

21/03974/COND, which is the application to build a granny annex on the site of a current shed, the homeowners have applied to discharge conditions 5,6 and 7 of application 21/02251/FUL .

A retrospective application is in for an extension at 34 Priory Close, Midsomer Norton, (that is under reference 18/02159/FUL).

A consultation has just a day to run about imposing a 20mph speed limit across many roads in and around the town centre of Midsomer Norton.

The closing date for objections to the plans - which you can see by clicking HERE : is September 23

Under Traffic Regulation Order 21-006/LC B&NES is proposing on imposing a strict limit on traffic on a number of roads. The map can be viewed at the One Stop Shops at The Hollies, on the High Street.
