White Hart Raffle Winers for Swallow
White Hart Raffle Winers for Swallow

Since becoming Mayor of Midsomer Norton, I've had the privilege of drawing many raffles but never thought I'd win one myself!

So, imagine my surprise when popping round to one of Midsomer Norton's most famous and finest local pubs, the White Hart, to be told I'd actually won the Christmas raffle and a cool one hundred pounds in cash.

This iconic pub at the Island has recently taken on a new lease of life with landlords Chris and Steve moving in adding to the exciting buzz around town at the moment.

As Mayor, I'm hosting a charity Burns' Night celebration at the Cricket Club on the 26th January to raise money for local charity Swallow so this is the perfect way to kick-start the donations.

Burns' Night, on Friday the 26th, will be a free event at the Cricket Club with traditional haggis, neeps and tatties on offer plus extras special "Dim Sim" Haggis, a raffle and the Mayor reciting poetry in a kilt.

I hope to see to see you on the 26th supporting this wonderful local charity and maybe at the White Hart sometime too!

Merry Christmas Midsomer Norton x
