Looking ahead to Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday.
""This will allow individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign, while marking the final day of the period of national mourning," said the government.
Asda, over in Frome, said it will shut all its stores until 5pm on the day to allow employees to watch the funeral as will all the Co-op stores.
Tesco's in Midsomer Norton will be shut completely.
Centre Parcs initially said it would close all five of its sites, including the one next to Longleat and guests would need to check out on Monday and then return the following day. However, following an outcry on social media from people who would be in the middle of holidays, the company said it would no longer ask existing visitors to leave. But those due to arrive on Monday will still not be able to check in until 10am on Tuesday September 20.
