There are only five water refill stations in Midsomer Norton, with organisers of the scheme to end the use of plastic bottles, urging other business to come forward.

The company insists that if just one in ten Brits refilled once a week, there would be 340 million less plastic bottles a year in circulation.

The free tap refill scheme is currently operational at the following sites in Midsomer Norton.

-Best Western Centurion Hotel

- Welton Baptist Church

- Costa

-Magpie

- Parson's Bakery

James Watt, the SW Regional Refill Coordinator of the company, which is based in Bristol, is urging the public to use the company's newly developed app to find the refill stations closest to where they are.

He said: " There are now over 28,000 Refill Stations on the free app, making it easier for the public to find places to refill their water bottles for free all over the UK. We'd love to see more stations signed up to the campaign in places such as Midsomer Norton, and it's easy to do. Just follow the information on our website, www.refill.org.uk, and add your business for free to become part of the Refill Revolution."
