One of the reasons that last week's roadworks in Radstock were so catastrophic for commuters was that they came at the same time as these - the traffic light replacement at the Stone Cross in Midsomer Norton.

Nub News understands that the emergency gas works for Radstock are not now going ahead as planned Friday, as they wait for these to be finished.

That is scheduled for this coming Friday (February 2).

Then next week the work on the area around The Street in Radstock will begin in earnest.
