The Centurion Hotel in Midsomer is still operating as normal, as is the golf course, as it awaits a new owner.

The company in charge of gathering interest in taking on the iconic site, say they have already had "expressions of interest", but they declined to be drawn any further.

In a statement to Nub News they told us: " The Hotel continues to trade under the supervision of the Administrators (Mazars LLP), and both the golf course and gym have re-opened. The Administrators have already received expressions of interest and are inviting bids on an informal tender basis by 12 noon on Friday 14th May."

Potential buyers are told that the Best Western Plus Centurion Hotel & Former Skills Centre, as it is formally known, has 45 bedrooms: " Plus extensive event facilities, a restaurant and bar as well as Centurion Health Club and has recently undergone a refurbishment."

The golf club has around 140 members who play a nine-hole golf course to the rear of the hotel.

Administrators added: " That's all we can share at this stage – for any enquires we're directing interested parties to email [email protected]"
