After months with just one pharmacy working in the centre of Midsomer Norton, St Chad's has finally (November 1) re-opened.

The town was left with just the one operating on Midsomer Norton High Street pharmacy when the pharmacy up near the town park was moved to a new company. That was in September and it was initially reported that it would re-open in a 'few weeks'.

Patients praised the High Street branch saying they were amazing adding: " They have double the workload due to the chemist by St Chad's being temporarily closed, but despite this, they were quick, efficient and very conscious of their customers needs. Well done to you all. "

However the single pharmacy continued for longer than town patients had hoped, and only now has the pressure eased.

The new owners posted : " I am pleased to inform the community that the pharmacy connected to St Chads, Midsomer Norton, is now back up and running fully. We are now SwiftCare Pharmacy, providing many additional services for our customers and looking to make a positive change to the community."

That said it is still not without problems, on the social media notice, they added that phone lines were still not working.

"At the moment our phone lines are still down, but we have a temporary phone number, 07810471887. " Owen(They/Them), SwiftCare Pharmacy Manager.

Lloyds Pharmacy which had been at Chesterfield House on the High Street, in Midsomer Norton ceased trading on 30 October 2020.
