A toy shop - a gift and the last hand-crafted Christmas scene ready now for the big family trail at the Radstock Museum this weekend.
On Saturday 27th November Somerset Coalfield Life is hosting a free family trail of 25 hand crafted, mini lit-up Christmas scenes. The museum is open between 11am and 5pm to find all 25 Advent windows created by the museum's Education Team volunteers.
Visitors are kindly encouraged to wear face-coverings and will follow a Covid-safe one-way system around the museum in socially distanced groups; the trail will take around 20-30 minutes to complete. A maximum of 50 visitors can be inside the building at any one time and will be counted in and out. Mid to late afternoon is expected to be busy while the morning is expected to be quieter.
The museum shop will be open for Christmas shopping and is stocked full of local history books and gifts. The museum tearoom remains closed until February, but refreshments are available in other Radstock venues.
The event is sponsored by Radstock Town Council and the museum would like to thank the council for its support. Radstock Christmas Light switch on takes place at 4:50pm on the evening of the 27th November outside the museum at the Radstock Miners' Wheel.
