The latest from the Radstock Mayor : Can you help?

In his regular column for Radstock Nub News, the town's Mayor writes:
It's a rather indeterminate time, this. Christmas is out of the way and there seems to be a yawning gap before the next meaningful episode in our social calendars. Our attention inevitably turns to the state of our homes and the incessant hum of the vacuum cleaner, jet-wash and rotavator is heard throughout the land. Others are scrutinizing seed catalogues in the sure expectation of vegetables and flowers a-plenty in later months.
Sadly it seems to supply vandals and other miscreants with fresh incentive to spread chaos throughout Radstock and beyond. This year the Council, on your behalf has donated two magnificent power-assisted bicycles to help the local police-beat cover. The presence of the law will be a great encouragement to those who wish to see the town bedecked in flowers and foliage in the summer. What better attraction could there be than this juxtaposition of Victorian stonework and horticulture?
In previous years Radstock boasted a thriving club of gardeners who collectively made this happen but which, since Covid, find their numbers seriously depleted. If you have some basic horticultural skills and a bit of time to spare, you'd be welcomed with open arms bi the Radstock in Bloom committee. See HERE: for further details.
Last year a brilliant effort was made to clear litter from the streets and paths. Can we achieve that again this year? Equipment, including bags and hi-viz jackets are available at the Hub.
