Weather outlook for Midsomer Norton after mini whirlwinds

Midsomer Norton residents - especially trampoline owners - will be relieved to know that the local weather forecaster is not predicting any return to the strangely 'uplifting' hyper local weather winds of this past weekend.

As you can see there were several reports of whirlwinds and sudden gusty winds with the passage of Sunday morning's cold front.

The worst corridor of wind saw gusts of up to 87mph, with trampolines bouncing and roof tiles coming off in Westfield.

But Kilmersdon Weather - the most popular weather man of Midsomer - is not predicting any more of those weird winds, but he is advising to stock up on de-icer.

He writes: "This evening and tonight will see clear spells but still the threat of showers at least blowing in on the decreasing WNW breeze. A much colder night tonight with temperatures down to 3C and a ground frost is possible tonight. "

Showers tomorrow.

"But after that fairly dry through the rest of the week with sunny spells by day but cold and frosty nights and that's something we haven't seen at all so far this season, so de-icer at the ready first thing in the mornings."
