Jacob Rees Mogg MP writes:

This week, the Foreign Secretary wrote to all Members of Parliament (MPs) to outline the steps being taken as the crisis in Ukraine continues.

Thus far, the total United Kingdom (UK) aid given to Ukraine and the region is £395 million, including £220 million of humanitarian assistance and £100 million to bolster the Ukrainian economy and reduce Ukraine's reliance on Russian gas imports. This also includes the $100m (£75m) for the Ukrainian Government budget to mitigate financial pressures created by Putin's illegal invasion. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Humanitarian Field Teams are currently in Poland, Romania and Moldova and the UK Emergency Medical Team (EMT) Assessment Team has deployed people to Romania and Moldova. The team will assess medical needs and the role that the UK EMT could play in supporting the region. The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) launched its Ukraine Appeal on 2nd March, which has now reached over £100m, with the government matching £25m of the public's donations. This will enable charities to provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families. A Humanitarian Assistance Task Force of 1,000 British soldiers is ready to support a humanitarian response in the region. Medical supplies are being delivered to the Government of Ukraine following a direct plea for specific items alongside a request from the World Health Organisation. The logistics on transport from Poland into Ukraine are being supported by the Poland-based UK humanitarian team. Finally, the Government is welcoming displaced Ukrainians in need of a home. The Humanitarian Sponsorship Scheme will provide a route for Ukrainians without family ties to the UK. The Home Office and Department for Levelling Up are leading a new sponsored humanitarian visa route to allow communities, private sponsors or local authorities to sponsor people to come to the UK from Ukraine.
