Another show stopper - this time mining stories on Somer Valley FM

The Somerset Miners Welfare Trust is pleased to announce their sponsorship of an hour long program each week on Somer Valley FM radio, on Thursday from 7pm to 8pm called "When Coal Was King".

Each week there will an interview with ex miners and related coal subjects brought to you by those who really knew the fields, from those who now work supporting former miners' and their families, the Somerset District Miners' Welfare Trust .

The first show this coming Thursday August 10 - this week - how a carting boy got shot in the legs.

After the metal miners the SMWT wanted another platform to remind people of how important the coal mines were to the local area, they believe they have found it in Somer Valley FM .

So this Thursday and every coming Thursday from 7pm to 8pm, also you can hear the program for 30 days after on Somer Valley FM website.
