22nd Feb 2022 | Local News

If you were wondering when the Radco demolition might begin - and Nub News was told it would be March - then sadly you will have to wait a while longer.

The latest update on the plans sets April as the target date for demolition.

The store in Radstock shut up shop on 22nd August 2020, and planners from B&NES gave the go ahead for development in 2019.

The target date for the latest planning conditions to be discharged is March 19th 2022.

You can read the update from the Radstock Co-operative team blog here: http://www.radstock.coop/blog/planning-update-for-the-co-operative-store-radstock

Details of the plans for the site are HERE: under application 18/05623/OUT

Radstock Co-operative warn that there is still no guarantee and that " Other matters to satisfy ahead of demolition relate to the requirements of the S106, including implementation of a recruitment and training strategy. It is hoped that demolition will be able to take place from April 2022."
