Money to tackle flytipping, poor air quality and more

More than £800k of additional funding to help tackle the Climate and Nature Emergency looks set to be agreed by Bath & North East Somerset councillors.

In addition new investment in key priority areas including delivering more affordable and low carbon housing, introducing low traffic neighbourhoods, increased street cleaning and supporting vulnerable people will be considered by Bath & North East Somerset Council as part of its budget-setting process.

The council is inviting residents to a series of events to coincide with Global Recycling Day on 18 March where people can find out all they need to know about switching to reusable nappies, as well as ways to avoid other disposable items and reuse wherever they can.
