President of the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Branch of the Royal British Legion, Wing Commander Geoff Wilson (centre) has personally thanked the local lodge for their generous donation.

He presented a formal Certificate of Appreciation to the Worshipful Master of Connaught Lodge of Freemasons (Midsomer Norton) Neil Arthur, for their very generous donation to the Branch, earlier this summer. Looking on left is Grand Master Ray Guthrie.

The donation was for a total of £1,300 which they used to buy Royal British Legion locally branded gazebo, which the branch has been using to fundraise and raise awareness at Radstock at the Miners Wheel and the Somerset Farmers Market at Midsomer.

They will be back at October's Farmers Market at Midsomer with their book and gift stall, and then the following month, with the annual Remembrance items for the Poppy Appeal.

The local branch still has five local war graves left for local business and organisations who may wish to sponsor them. You can read about that appeal by clicking HERE : the Midsomer Norton Nub News site
