Lovely : The stall at the Midsomer Norton Fayre raised a splendid amount

The team had a very successful sponsored walk last month and the Branch performed splendidly at the Midsomer Norton Town Fayre.

The total for both events was £669.65.

Chairman Martin Feeney writes:

"We still need to chase up some of the wreaths and Poppy Sprays for Remembrance but the process of preparing for Remembrance and the Poppy Appeal is going ahead with gusto.

"One hundred and forty eight collecting tins have been labelled and stored ready for use.

"I am given to understand that the next job of the Poppy Appeal team is to make up the poppy trays ready for distribution. This is scheduled for the last two weeks of September. The local councils and clergy have also been informed regarding the arrangements for the Dressing of Graves. "

A date for your diary :

The branch will be in attendance at Writhlington Party in the Park on Saturday 12th August. The Branch stall will be located in the village hall and the even starts at 12pm and finishes at 5pm.

Your Branch holds a monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of the month at 19:30hrs. If you are a Branch member, you are welcome to attend. Meetings are currently in Midsomer Norton Social Club. Other people can be invited to attend. Should you wish to attend, please advise Geoff Wilson via email on [email protected]
