There will be a meeting of Midsomer Norton Town Council on Monday (January 9), as councillors continue to grapple with the budget.

They will also be hearing the news that the Town Clerk, Donna Ford, has resigned as one of the paid-for members of staff. Details are in the agenda because of a training fee which will be reimbursed to Midsomer to be "refunded due to the resignation of the Clerk."

All the items on the agenda for Monday are HERE.

Those include news about the Street Marshalls, who, while inadvertently being paid twice over last month were not actually working on one of the busiest festive nights in Midsomer Norton. They were not on patrol on December 23 or 24 due to sickness.

The meeting open to the public, is on 9 Jan @ 7:00pm at The Hollies Council Office, below the library, which is being used while the Town Hall is being renovated. There will also be a discussion about regularly filming the meetings to increase transparency and engagement with the community.

Also two dates to bear in mind: Midsomer Norton Speed Cameras will be at the following locations:

Thicket Road/West Road: 14th February 2023

Northmead Road: 28th March 2023
