A rumble in the jumble : How Midsomer will be hosting its first ever jumble trail

When young mum Kate Turner moved into the Midsomer Norton Radstock area last year, she immediately started a group to exchange free items so that what people no longer wanted would not end up in landfill.

Now later this month she is moving it up a scale with the town's first ever Jumble Trail.

Kate told Nub News: " When I relocated back to the area with my baby I wanted to make a difference.

"I hate this throw away society and identify more with make do and mend. In every area I have lived and wanted a group where unloved items found new home saving the planet and saving money."

Now she is organising a jumble trail around Midsomer Norton on August 22 with stalls available - for free - for unwanted items to sell, or simply give away.

Kate said: " The jumble trail has been so successful over the country it was about time Msn hosted one. Imagine if everyone gave away for free things destined for the skip how much we would save from landfill ? It will also help support the families in our community who are struggling financially."

The trail will be on Saturday 22nd August from 11-4

There will be maps available to find all the stalls located at Magpie Vintage based on the High Street.
