Ambitious plans for an extended menu and opening into the sunshine from the baking team at SWALLOW

The local charity SWALLOW was busy this morning (May 20) making and baking for its new takeaway service up at St Nicholas Church Rooms in Radstock.

The team is now offering take away coffees, teas, and snacks from its menu - with hot drinks are just £1.50 and pizzas are just £4.

Nub News can highly recommend the cakes !

Place an order and then you can pick it up from 11am until 2pm from the SWALLOW Café.

They are currently open today (Tuesdays) until Fridays from 11am – 2pm a selection of food and hot drinks will be available. Customers can ring to book their meal on 07565 752350 and then will be able to pay with a contactless card, following social distancing guidelines.

They also have plans to open up at the front of the cafe so that customers can enjoy some sunshine with their takeaway.

SWALLOW supports local teenagers and adults with learning

disabilities is working extremely hard to keep its members and staff safe and well during this difficult time. Although they have had to cancel some of their activities to minimise contamination risks, their support workers are continuing their vital work in the community.

They are hoping that this new take away service will help people who are struggling to find fresh local food and want a bit of a treat. For more details on the menu available, see www.swallowcharity.org.
