Another successful event at Radstock museum
It was another successful fundraiser at Radstock Museum on Saturday, with proceeds expected, again, to exceed £1000. But with money still to be counted 82 year old Patricia Herbert and her husband Dennis who is 83, are thinking its time for some younger volunteers to come forward to organise this important event. Patricia said: " The Christmas event is always our most successful fundraiser. It is so important for the Museum it raises more money at the one time than any other. But we are both thinking we are getting on a bit and would love it if some others came forward to help. " Patricia has been organising the Museum's Christmas splash in Radstock for the past six years with one record year raising almost two thousand pounds for the Museum. The Museum, which has thousands of artefacts many donated by local people, re opens in February although the shop will be open for the next two Saturdays for those last minute Christmas presents and for anyone who hasn't yet picked up their raffle prize.
