She came into Midsomer Norton to get a key cut and then was disappointed to find the shop at the top end of the High Street was closed.

Unlucky ? But rather than just grumble, Linda Kenrick decided to do something about it and so now she is about to open a shop in the once empty building.

So Serendipity seemed an obvious name for her collective craft shop and now she is appealing for sellers to join her.

The amazing space, a listed building, will be shared by sellers and the crafting community who will be able to show their wares in return for contributing to the costs.

Linda told Nub News : " I have a few people who will be joining me already, but I would also welcome more sellers; the more varied the better.

"Any crafter out there who is thinking oh I don't know what to do with my hobby, lets have it in here and see if we can sell it. Exciting times.

" We are just looking forward to getting going."

Serendipity is due to open in early November. You can contact Linda with details on the poster above, by calling 078577 10035 and you may be interested to know she will be offering workshop space too.

At the back of the shop the owner of Pure Taste next door will be moving in what he already runs as a virtual store, that will be Bargain Branded Food and Drinks Midsomer Norton, which has a huge drive on to cut down on food waste. Serendipity was previously the key and dry cleaning collection shop, Can Do For You, at number 12 the High Street, which closed up in early August after 17 years. You can read about that by clicking HERE : the Midsomer Norton Nub News site
