Attempted break in at Radstock Subway as the team get ready to re-open

The fast food outlet Subway was broken into over the weekend, with would-be thieves smashing both doors in order to try and get in.

However as the manager explained to Nub News today (June 1) there has been nothing left on the premises since it closed up for business during the coronavirus pandemic.

A workman fixing one of the doors that had been damaged joked: " Perhaps they were hungry .. but then there isn't even any food here."

The manager of the Subway is hoping to re-open to customers as a takeaway-only service on June 10, but will need to get the premises secured.

The current plans are that the franchised-operation will open from midday (as opposed to the original 11:30 am) every weekday until 7pm and from 12 until 4pm on a Sunday.
