A new beauty salon, "Elamy" has opened up and it honours some Radstock citizens.

Owner Amy Hicks explained: " My dream of opening my very own Beauty Therapy Suite is here.

"The name "Elamy" is in memory of my dear gran, Ellen Maureen Hicks, born and brought up in Radstock, who sadly passed away in 2019, and myself, Amy.

"My dad, Malcolm, had a rare cancer at the same time as my gran being ill and it become his dream too.

"Thanks to Covid-19, I changed direction, rolled up my sleeves, became a labourer - how proud my gran would have been."
