Is this unusual - Birds flying back and forth - every night for the past month - what is going on?

Local nature lovers have been on social media to show some unusual activities in the sky.

This is just one evening's action by a huge flock of birds, but according to the person who recorded the video - this has been happening every night, for the past three weeks.

A Southdown resident has recorded this video and posted :"This has been happening between 8 & 9pm every night for the past three weeks

I've only managed to capture half of them in the video. They fly backwards & forwards over the house, land in trees for five minutes and repeat. Anyone know why?"

Meanwhile - a newly-formed Midsomer Norton wildlife group has reported what they say are a much bigger than normal number of crows in the skies who are also much noisier than normal.

Last week Twitter (where else) followers were busy sharing the news from the quiz programme QI that crows can "hold grudges" like humans and share their bad feelings towards other crows with "friends and family".

According to a study published in the journal Animal Behaviour, ravens which include crows, jays and magpies, have the ability to 'hold grudges' for up to two years.

Perhaps someone in Southdown has crossed their path?
