All quiet - and very hot - later in the day up at Midsomer Norton Cricket Club

Police have put out an appeal for witnesses for a break in at Midsomer Norton Cricket Club when the attempted robbery was apparently interrupted.

The police have confirmed that they are investigating after an early morning break in and have asked for possible witnesses.

The police told Nub News : we're investigating after an outbuilding was broken into on Withies Lane, Midsomer Norton at approximately 3.50am today.

Nothing was stolen in the incident as it appears the offenders were disturbed.

We're currently reviewing CCTV from the area as part of our inquiry.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time who hasn't yet spoken to police is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5220137697.
