Bright, bold and now bookable. New community space opens in Midsomer Norton

It is bright and bold and is now officially open, Unit 14, a new space in the heart of Midsomer Norton was launched this week.
The colourful and versatile community space is suitable for meetings, workshops, small performances, drop-ins, seminars and much more.
The Mayor of Midsomer Norton Councillor Lynda Robertson, cut the ribbon to mark the official launch along side Community Trust manager, Alex Davis.
The space also includes kitchen facilities as well as speedy Wifi and a range of furniture so the room can be tailored to suit various needs. Managed by the Midsomer Norton Community Trust, the space offers an alternative to the Town Hall which will be undergoing a renovation programme.
At the launch there was also the premiere of a new Heritage Film made for the community which will be released soon.
The Unit 14 project has been funded from Bath & North East Somerset Council's allocation of the European Union's Welcome Back High Streets Fund (2021-22), the West of England Combined Authority's Infrastructure Fund and Historic England's Heritage Action Zone funding.
